We are seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will analyze sales trends, publisher policies, and reporting data to determine optimal stocking levels for course materials. The Inventory Coordinator supports cost control and margin improvement through data-driven purchasing decisions that minimize overstock and backorders. This position collaborates cross-functionally to ensure inventory availability and support departmental performance goals.

 

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Analyze historical sales data, publisher policies, and market information to make accurate, data-driven purchasing and stocking decisions
  • Determine and manage optimal stocking levels for course materials, anticipating demand to reduce costs, increase margins by anticipating sales of course materials.
  • Monitor high-risk and custom inventory to minimize financial exposure
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on course materials, including new editions, bundled packages, substitutions, and adoption changes
  • Act as a liaison between Acquisitions and Client Representatives to ensure timely inventory availability and address substitution notices, evaluate and adjust adoptions as needed.
  • Review and analyze reports on a scheduled basis and take appropriate action based on findings
  • Create and upload chargebacks and follow up on return requests.
  • Evaluate information regarding publisher policies and practices for returns.
  • Resolve inventory-related issues and support team problem-solving efforts.
  • Additional responsibilities as required. 

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Inventory, buyer, or relevant work experience required
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines

  • Maintains a high level of accuracy and dependability, including consistent attendance and punctuality
